Description
Item/Description: Exquisitely carved cameo in high relief depicts a beauty with elaborate hairstyle in profile. Wearing a bead necklace and floral corsage. Wonderful dark patina to silver frame; gold wash/vermeil rope border. Roll-over pin and fold-down bail for versatile wearing options as brooch or pendant. Hallmarked faintly on pin: illegible markings. Tested as Silver.
Material: Shell, Silver, Vermeil.
Dimensions: 1 7/8"L x 1 1/4"W; approximately 6.5 grams.
Condition: Very Good. No chips, cracks or damage to shell. Roll over clasp and bail in good working order. Slight bend to pin.
Age: 1900s-1930s.
Provenance: Private Estate, Italy.
