Item/Description: Statement signed studio artisan Sterling Silver and coral cuff bracelet by Navajo silversmith, Joe Piaso, Jr. Lovely salmon pink hued polished coral stones in oval tear drop and heart shaped cuts. Bezel set into floral clusters. Mounted on three heavy gauge Sterling Silver ribs that make up the bangle. Hallmarked: J. Piaso Jr. in feather cartouche.
Joe Piaso, Jr. was born in New Mexico in 1957 and raised on the Navajo Reservation in New Mexico As a child, he watched his grandfather make jewelry. While in boarding school, he took silversmith classes from a Santo Domingo Indian and thereafter began selling his silverwork. Piaso has taught his son silversmithing and the legacy continues.
