Description
Item/Description: This hand-crafted Southwestern inlaid stone silver grouping consists of a figural bear brooch and two pairs of pierced earrings. Hand-crafted Native American jewelry.
The fetish bear brooch is crafted from 950 Silver and inlaid with stones including green and orange malachite, turquoise, onyx and lapis lazuli. In the Native American culture the bear symbolizes protection, courage, physical strength and leadership. The brooch is attributed to artist, Alicia of Taxco though the hallmarks on back are largely worn. Legible hallmarks include: TO-2 Mexico 950. Roll-over safety clasp.

Condition: Good. Signs of age, use and wear include surface scratches, scuffs, tarnish, chipping to corner inlaid edge of first "head" stone. Clasp in good working order.

The figural fetish bear pierced earrings are fashioned from Sterling Silver with traditional carvings, etched designs and set with an inlaid cabochon of turquoise, onyx and coral. Straight back posts, butterfly backs. No visible signature .

Condition: Good. Signs of age, use and wear include surface scratches, tarnish. Posts are straight, butterfly backs fit well.

The signed teardrop earrings are by Ella Peter. Hand-crafted in Sterling Silver and set with a raised teardrop patchwork of inlaid stones including coral, malachite, lapis lazuli, spiny oyster, purple charoite. Skillful workmanship and design. Straight back posts, butterfly backs. Hallmarked: Ella Peter, Sterling.
