Description
Item/Description: Mexican Retro-era three piece parure consists of a necklace, brooch and pierced dangle drop earrings. Fashioned from Sterling Silver and set with polished black onyx stones, centers carved as face masks. Ball and scroll embellishments. The necklace chain is comprised of six bezel set onyx ellipse shaped stones, beautifully contoured and polished. Rope settings some embellished with trios of balls. Centerpiece is a large carved black onyx mask, inverted triangle shape. Adorned with headdress of silver ball beads. Simple chain link with hook and and ring closure. Hallmarked: Sterling Mexico. The matching brooch pin has an ornate setting, large exquisitely carved mask. Hinged pin with curved clasp. Dangle drop earrings with three dimensional setting with ball accents suspended by circle ear wires.

Dimensions Necklace: Length: 20 1/4"; Width: 1 3/4"; approximately 66 grams. Dimensions Brooch: Length: 2"; Width: 2"; approximately 30 grams. Dimensions Earrings: Length: 3/4"; Width: 5/16"; approximately 10 grams
Condition: Very Good. Onyx free of chips, cracks. Silver free of dents, dings. Signs of age, use and wear including scratches, scuffs, oxidation to back of brooch and pin.
Age: 1940s, ear wires are contemporary.
