Item/Description: Antique Turn of the Century chainmail purse. Finely woven 800 silver metal mesh bag with silver ball adornments around body and fringe. Geometric shape. Ornate floral embossed frame. Kiss lock clasp. Paper clip style hanging chain. Beautiful workmanship in design and detail. Unmarked
Material: 800 Silver (bag); silver over brass
Dimensions: Length Frame: 6"; Width: 1/4"; Length Bag: 7 1/4" (excluding ball ornaments); Chain Drop Length: 7"; Width Bag: 6"; approximately 320 grams
Condition: Overall Very Good. No rips or damage to silver mesh or hardware. Kiss lock closure snaps shut securely. Two missing silver loops from frame; one area where mesh has become unattached from loop; tarnish, dark patina. Has not been cleaned.
