Description
Item/Description: Fabulous gold tone jeweled lion brooch, believed to be unsigned Hattie Carnegie, called "Lion in the Grass." Detailed craftsmanship includes emerald jeweled glass eyes, enameled body and face, matte gold textured mane. He stands proudly in the tall grass made of green and brown enamel and rhinstones. Roll-over C-clasp. Unsigned.
Material: Gold tone metal, enamel, glass rhinestone crystals.
Dimensions: Length: 2"; Width: 1 1/4".
Condition: Very Good. All stones present. Surface and use wear; green enamel to face may have been applied after manufacturing of pin, based on our research.
Age: 1950s-1960s.
Provenance: Private Estate.
