Description
Antique Miniature Rhinestones Gold Tone Mesh Hinged Evening Purse Pouch Germany. This rare and exquisite evening purse is believed to be Deco-era and made in Germany, it is fashioned from gold metal mesh with a hinged, expandable frame embellished with rhinestones. There is some surface scratching to the metal beneath the fold-down clasp, not visible when the clasp is in the closed position. There are minor areas of oxidation along the perimeter of the frame, also not visible in the closed position. The mesh body is soft and fluid and without tears or damage. All hinges are functional and move freely. The fold down clasp is in good working order. Approximately 3 1/2"L x 5" wide. When open it is approximately 3" x 2". It is stamped "Germany" on the hinge.
