Item/Description: French military officer’s bayonet with brass handle. Hilt marked D 97445 / "G" in a shield and with additional makers marks. Blade marked with a circled "B" and an (S or G) with crown in a circle on one side and a "2" the other. Metal scabbard marked: D 97445 / Y 35. (M1866, Yataghan, Chassepot)

Condition: Signs of age and wear include surface scratches, scuffing, oxidation, pitting, and denting.
