Description
Item/Description: African soapstone trumpet vase handcrafted by Gusii tribesmen in the Kisii region of Kenya. Late 20th century, circa 1980s-1990s. Slender flared column and pedestal foot. Displays a beautiful multicolored blend of warm pastel pinks, ambers, and grays. Front is embellished with a stylized, hand-etched, and inked black-and-white savannah safari zebra figure walking through tall wild grasses.

Condition: Signs of age, use, and wear include underside markings, surface wear.
