Item/Description: 19th-century antique steel engraving titled "Feeding Time" (Children Feeding Pigeons), after the oil painting by Italian genre painter Antonio Ermolao Paoletti (1834-1912), who was famous for his lively depictions of Venetian street life. Reads in part: A. PAOLETTI, PINXT (meaning painted by). Engraver: J. Greatbach. Set in an ornate gesso and gilt wood compo Victorian-style swept frame.

Condition: Signs of age and wear include chipping, loss, surface scratches and scuffing to frame. Discoloration, foxing. Art not examined out of frame.
