Description
Item/Description: Antique Italy Gilt 800 Silver & Enamel Mirrored Lipstick Holder. Hand chased cut sterling body with ornate scroll-work. Enameled lid with garden scene of ladies entertained by a minstrel. Spring loaded push-in mechanism pops lid up to reveal mirrored internal compartment. Removable lipstick holder with remnants of peach colored lipstick, as shown. Lipstick compartment stamped on exterior sides: 800 Italy 40 H. (Compact, beauty, cosmetics)
Material: 800 Silver, Enamel.
Dimensions: 2 1/2"L x 3/4"H x 3/4"D.
Condition: Very good. Minor use wear to enamel and patina to silver, as shown. Please note the lipstick lever is stuck in the down position.
Age: Circa 1900s.
Provenance: Private Estate.
